cleptoparasitism
n. [Gr. kleptein, to steal; parasitos, one who eats at the table of another]
(ARTHROPODA: Insecta)
In Hymenoptera, a parasitic relationship in which a female seeks out prey or stored food of another, usually of a different species, and appropriates it for the rearing of her own offspring.
